CV instruments Magnetic Rockwell Tester - CV-MR01 is a magnetic base hardness tester designed according to the principle of Rockwell hardness testing. It is devised as the most practical instrument for onsite measurement of Rockwell hardness. The classic instruments characterizes the indentation hardness of materials through the scale of penetration of an indenter, loaded on a material test-piece load application for highly repetitive accuracy needed in materials science. The monocoque main body is made of rugged steel iron which incorporates a load cell absorbed by high magnetic attachment to the tested material which complies to ISO 6508 or ASTM E18 standards.
The test head can be fixed to the surface of iron and steel components by magnetic force simply by switching the lever. Support to the test piece is not required as the 350kg+ magnetic base will hold the unit firmly in position. Thanks to its manual approach, the operator can directly measure toughness of a material and the maximum amount of energy that the specimen can absorb before fracturing. This practical instrument is equipped with detachable identer and highly preffered by steel inspection company for remaining life analysis (RLA).
