D’Andrea – U-Tronic is devised as a medium and large sized numerical control (NC) machining heads which are connected to the U axis of the NC in the machine tool for outer facing, inner facing, back-facing, cylindrical and conical boring and threading, concave and convex corner rounding through interpolation with the other axes of the machine tool. D’Andrea – U-Tronic is a planar surface, onto the workpiece in the course of turning and boring work (facing planes perpendicular to the rotating axis of the workpiece). It can be applied manually or automatically and with pallet systems on boring machines, machining centers and special machines.

D’Andrea – U-Tronic is available in 6 models from ø 360 to ø 1000 mm. All these include an internal channel for coolant. Special versions of D’Andrea – U-Tronic, with two slides or with counterweights for self-balancing, may be supplied upon request. Fixed toolholders may be applied to the slide, with either manual or automatic tool change. Any application on machines that do not permit the connection to an axis of the NC may be made by managing the motor of the drive unit with a practical, simple, and economical U-Control positioner with wireless remote-control. D'andrea Boring & Facing Head U-tronic is highly regarded by fabricator of valve and gas tube making, civil engineering and many more.

 

D'andrea Boring & Facing Head U-tronic Features:

  • Built in various models from Ø of 360 to 1600 mm.
  • Versatile application for turning, cylindrical and conical boring, facing, threading, corner turning, and spherical operations.
  • Auto or manually set up using a flange for fastening with a cam lock quick coupling, or automatically with a palletized system and special connectors.
  • The U-TRONIC heads are arranged with internal channel for coolant, which pass through the rotating body all theway to the cutting tip.
  • The threaded holes allows attachment of counterweights to balance the working conditions as the position of the tool shifted in relation to the U-TRONIC axis.
