Maykestag Stub Drills DIN 6537K is made of Austrian patented micro-grain-carbide which produces higher toughness, hardness and bending strength. Maykestag Stub Drills DIN 6537K is manufactured with the most up-to-date metallurgic infuser technology of 5% cobalt-alloyed high speed steel for your stability and wear resistance. The Maykestag's optimised tool geometry on its Screw Machine Drills provide a higher tool stability (even in unstable working conditions) and a higher surface quality of the material to be machined. 

Depends on your machining set up,  Maykestag Stub Drills are recommended  for drilling heat resistant steels, Cr-Ni steels, high carbon steel castings, grey cast iron, cast steels, manganese steels, bronze, aluminium with high percentage silicium and other difficult-to-machine materials.  Optimized for both high stability and universal usability, it also offers optimum chip breakage, high centering accuracy and less cutting forces. Maykestag Screw Machine Drills are suitable for materials with tensile strength up to 1300 N/mm2. This sturdy drill is suitable on toolmaking, jigs, precision hinges, general engineering and many more. However If you are looking for woodruff keyseat cutter, you can also opt for Maykestag DIN 850.
