Tosok CEG-2000 Electric Gauge display offer the ultimate non-destructive precision in measuring dimensional workpiece when combined with an electronic probe sensor. Tosok CEG-2000 Electric Gauge display precision readings of 2 or 4 channel that utilizes a sensor probe input of contact electronic called a linear variable differential transformer (LVDT). Tosok CEG-2000 with LVDT probes are versatile, absolute linear position/displacement transducers; inherently frictionless, as they have a virtually infinite life cycle when properly used. As AC operated LVDT probes do not contain any electronics, they can be designed to operate at cryogenic temperatures or up to 1200 °F (650 °C), in harsh environments, under high vibration and shock levels. LVDTs have been widely used in applications such as power turbines, hydraulics, automation, aircraft, satellites, nuclear reactors, and many others. These probe have low hysteresis and excellent repeatability. Because the sliding core does not touch the inside of the tube or rotating contacts allows the LVDT to be completely sealed against the environment. This frictionless method made the Tosok Electric Gauge Micrometer CEG-2000 with LVDT probes is a highly reliable device for repetitive test at higher pace as in automation production line.
Tosok Electric Gauge Micrometer CEG-2000 with its LVDT probes converts a position or linear displacement from a mechanical reference (zero, or null position) into a proportional electrical signal containing phase (for direction) and amplitude (for distance) information. Utilizing LVDT sensing technology, the sensor proportionally scales an output that is interpreted by the Tosok CEG-2000 display as a dimensional value. The LVDT operation does not require an electrical contact between the moving part (probe or core assembly) and the coil assembly, but instead relies on electromagnetic coupling. The LVDT can be used as an absolute measurement in automation check up of massive production line. Even if the power is switched off, on restarting it, the LVDT shows the same measurement, and no positional information is lost. Any rotation of the core around the axis will not affect its measurement precision.
The Tosok CEG-2000 Electric Gauge display with Pass/Fail feedback is instant with the integral easy view three-color LED bar-graph display. Two or four input channel models are available allowing multiple dimensions with various sensors to be connected to the same display. All CEG-2000’s come standard with RS-232 serial communications for data analysis on PC’s. An Excel spreadsheet program is available for download for free from the SHIMPO website that allows communication with up to 5 units simultaneously. The Tosok electric gauge with LVDT technology offers reliability to measure small tolerances down to 0.05 micron.
